Advanced Lithium Power Inc. was established in 2006 to develop and manufacture advanced high power/energy storage devices for transportation and other applications.
Located in Vancouver, on Canada's Pacific coast, ALP has brought together leading experts in the fields of energy management, clean energy and alternative fuels, battery technology, and vehicle power train design and integration.
ALP's initial focus is to apply its software expertise to bridge the gap between battery cell manufacturers and advanced power train developers in the automotive industry. By integrating innovative automotive energy management software with advanced, mass produced Lithium Ion batteries, ALP is bringing more power, more energy, and higher safety to the next generation of hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell vehicles.
The company's technology includes high power and high energy Lithium Ion battery packs featuring proprietary battery and thermal management software, coupled with automotive standard mechanical assembly, and power/control interfaces. Together, they constitute one of the most advanced Energy Storage Systems (ESS) available.
To bring its ESS products to market quickly and successfully, ALP has developed strategic partnerships with Quantum Fuel Systems Worldwide Inc., a Tier 1 supplier to North American automobile manufacturers, E-One Moli Energy (Canada) Inc., one of the world’s leading Lithium Ion battery manufacturers, and ST Kinetics, a leading Asian defence and specialty vehicles company.
